Bible Study

ADULT BIBLE STUDY meets at 9:15 AM each Sunday in the conference room with the playing of recorded Hymns and Sacred music. The Bible study will begin at 9:30 with the study of 2 Corinthians, Chapter 4, where Paul writes about appropriate attitudes toward the Scripture and toward suffering. Paul says: "I am pressed on every side by troubles, perplexed but not giving up, hunted down but not abandoned, knocked down but able to keep going because I have Jesus on my side." Wow! If you have any questions, please feel free to call class leaders, Tom or Joan Amabile at 259-0346.

I read from "A Treasury of Bible Illustrations" an article entitled "It Only Takes a Minute" by Charles Dickens. He wrote: "Reflect upon your present blessings, of which every man has many; not on your past misfortunes, of which all men have some." It only takes a minute to begin reflecting on our present blessings: the gift of life itself, the warmth of friendships, the riches of good health, the power of love, the glory of a sunrise, the privilege of prayer, the joys of music, the satisfactions of work, the treasures of books, the beauty of art, the miracle of spring, and the grace of God. Be more grateful and you will become more joyful!

We will be playing two songs by Bill and Gloria Gaither; "He Touched Me", and "Because He Lives".

WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT RESURRECTION Our study will begin at 7:00 PM. We will continue using Erwin McManus' book, Chasing Daylight, as a guide. Chasing Daylight is a study of 1 Samuel and a look at the character of Jonathan. The biblical character of Jonathan was a man on a mission. In faith and doubt, he responded to the call of God. Through this study we will have the opportunity to share our faith with one another.
