Please write a 250 to 750 word typewritten essays in which you discuss EACH of the following:
ESSAY # 1
What this scholarship would mean to you.
Your involvement in your community/school.
ESSAY # 2
Describe your faith journey as a disciple of Jesus to this point in your life. (i.e. How have you lived a life of discipleship; how has God been active in your life.)
Please refrain from identifying yourself by name in your essay. All applications will be judged on the merits of the essay. Priority will be given to those who have not been awarded the
Scholarship from Resurrection Lutheran Church.
The Resurrection Lutheran Church Scholarship is available to active, confirmed members of Resurrection Lutheran Church or Bethany Lutheran Church in Jersey City.
Please place this application and your essay into the Scholarship Box at church no later than
12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2008. Awards will be presented on June 15, 2008.
